Course Overview
This course provides a deeper understanding of disability and the social models of support. You’ll learn how to work respectfully and effectively with clients across various life stages and abilities—supporting their rights, independence, and inclusion in the community.

Entry Criteria
Applicants must complete the following to determine suitability:
- Suitability Review (SDR)
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment
- Students are required to complete a Practical Placement which requires a police check and a NDIS screening.
- Students must also hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or state equivalent.
- Students must also have current COVID-19 vaccinations
- Entry requirements include the completion of:
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support or
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or
- CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set

Units of Study
To be awarded the Certificate IV in Disability Support, 10 units must be completed consisting of:
- 7 core units
- 3 elective units
