Entry Criteria

Applicants must complete the following to determine suitability:       

  • Suitability Review (SDR)
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment

Skills Assure

We are a proud Skills Assure Provider. Under the Skills Assure program funded by the Queensland Government, eligible students can access subsidised training through the Certificate III Guarantee program.

While this course is not designed to lead directly into a specific job, it equips you with critical foundation skills for a wide range of industries. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to:

Enter entry-level employment opportunities

Move into a traineeship or apprenticeship

Continue with further study in a vocational course (e.g. Certificate III)

Approach job applications, interviews, and workplace expectations with greater confidence

Units of Study

To be awarded the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, 14 units must be completed consisting of:

  • 1 core units
  • 13 elective units
FSK Core & Elective Units

You may be able to complete your qualification sooner through formal recognition of your existing skills. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

To receive RPL, we assess your previous work, education and life experiences against recognised qualifications. Applications for RPL can be made prior to enrolling.

If the RPL application is successful, you will be given credits towards your course (meaning you may not have to complete all the units to gain this qualification).
