Course Overview

This course prepares you for entry-level roles in the dynamic and growing community services field. You’ll gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge to support clients across a range of settings including health, housing, disability, mental health, and youth services.

Throughout the course, you’ll develop skills in:

Providing person-centred support to individuals and communities

Entry Criteria

Applicants must complete the following to determine suitability:       

  • Suitability Review (SDR)
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment

Students need access to a Laptop, Microsoft Word and Excel, Webcam for teams for online delivery.

Graduates of CHC32015 may find employment in roles such as:

Units of Study

To be awarded the Certificate III in Community Services, 12 units must be completed consisting of:

  • 5 core units
  • 7 elective units

You may be able to complete your qualification sooner through formal recognition of your existing skills. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

To receive RPL, we assess your previous work, education and life experiences against recognised qualifications. Applications for RPL can be made prior to enrolling.

If the RPL application is successful, you will be given credits towards your course (meaning you may not have to complete all the units to gain this qualification).
