Qualification Duration

This qualification is typically delivered over a duration of 7.5 months, including 100 hours of work placement in a classroom environment.

Delivery Mode

This qualification is delivered using a face-to-face, classroom-based delivery mode.

This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist teachers and support student learning in a range of classroom setting under the guidance of a teacher or other educational professional. At this level, workers may be involved in facilitation of learning for a range of instructional groupings, including for those students in need of additional support.

Qualification Detail

The successful completion of this qualification requires competency to be achieved in 17 units comprising of thirteen (13) core units and four (4) elective units.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although applicants will need to undertake an LLN assessment. Students are required to complete a Practical Placement which requires a police check, COVID Vax & Working With Children’s Check.
